A collaboration between the sentiment, gentle cheekiness & emotive humour of Billy Murphy's painting and the ethereal abstract colour blends of Ricky Byrne's screen printing practice combine to create this beautiful and heartfelt pair of A2 screen prints.
The prints try to capture the wistful peace of enjoying a moment by the ocean and beneath a beautiful sky.
Both of these screen prints have been produced by Mesh & Blade. The blending technique used to create the skies means that each print is a unique outcome. The 'DAY' version is a 2 layer print with a very pronounced colour blend. 'NIGHT' is 4 layer print using a subtle blend from an extremely deep blue to black, finished with silver stars and gold type.
Both are very small editions and we are very lucky to have a limited stock available. The work has recently been shown at Billy's book launch & exhibition, 'You Deserve a Little Treat' at Pure Evil Gallery.
The book is available from all sensible book sellers and the series of beautiful original paintings by Billy used for the book will be available on his site soon.
